Take control of the night.

operators using an hd scope and binocularThere is a revolution taking place in the hearts of "We The People". There is a revolution taking place at ATN as well.

ATN, a proud American company, has decided to make its new second generation HD digital weapon mounted and hand held, day-night and thermal optics, even more advanced in capabilities and even more affordable for "We The People".

ATN's New Obsidian II Core Processor.

ATN's new ThOR HD Smart Thermal Rifle Scopes, new X-Sight HD II Smart Day and Night Vision Scopes, new BINOX-HD Smart Day Night Binoculars, new Smart HD Thermal Binoculars and new X-Spotter have the new Obsidian II core processor with the new visual user interface. They are built with arrays of sensors and tools which when understood and used properly, assist the operator with speed and accuracy.

Watch this excellent video to get a general idea of how awesome these scopes are. This video deals with the day night scope which is a little different than the thermal scope only because it is day and night optic not a thermal optic.

Below I get into some specifics on features mentioned in the video.

High Definition Display.

All of the New HD Devices have a full 1080p HD display.

  • ATN's new ThOR HD Smart Thermal Rifle Scopes,
  • ATN's new X-Sight HD II Smart Day and Night Vision Scopes,
  • ATN's new BINOX-HD Smart Day Night Binoculars,
  • ATN's new X-Spotter.

Some of the high definition display characteristics.

  • 4.2 million distinct colors.
  • 256 levels of gray scale.
  • Quick target acquisition thanks to zero parallax and long 65mm of eye relief.
  • Your compass heading is shown at the top of the display.
  • Your roll is shown at the left side of the display. Roll indicates a vertical tilt to the left or right.
  • Your pitch is shown at the right side of the display. Pitch indicates a vertical tilt to the front or back.
  • Smooth zoom.
  • Altitude, target distance, wind speed, magnification, and reticle adjustments are some of the additional data displayed.

Ballistic Profile / Zero In Manager.

Devices that have the ballistic profile.

  • ATN's new ThOR HD Smart Thermal Rifle Scopes,
  • ATN's new X-Sight HD II Smart Day and Night Vision Scopes,
  • ATN's new X-Spotter.

Only the rifle scopes have a reticle and the reticle zero in manage.

  • ATN's new ThOR HD Smart Thermal Rifle Scopes,
  • ATN's new X-Sight HD II Smart Day and Night Vision Scopes.

Using the ballistic profile manager.

You can save all the Ballistic and Zero-in data in the profile Manager for every weapon/ammunition combination that you plan to use the scope or spotter with.

Devices that have the range finder.

Step 4: Based on your the range finder steps, the ballistics profile that your are currently using, the windage that you have previously entered and the data from the device's environmental sensors, the reticle is moved to the actual point of impact. See image RF3.

Rifle Scope Recoil Activated Video ( RAV ).

Recoil Activated Video (RAV) when activated, records, edits and stores videos of your shots for you. RAV buffers everything your scope sees. When the weapon fires you are left with a short, edited video of what you saw 10 seconds before the shot was taken, the moment of the shot, and as much video after the shot as your settings specify.

Image Stabilization.

The ATN BINOX-HD Smart Day Night Binoculars, and the X-Spotter have image stabilization.

GPS.

If you turn GPS on you can geo tag photos and videos. Geo tags contain the latitude, longitude and altitude of the location. Geo tags combined with photos and videos are data that could be vital for intelligence gathering and AARs.
